Encompass Community Supports

Mission: Encompass Community Supports (formerly known as Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services) is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock Counties by providing comprehensive behavioral health and social services.

Comprehensive Service Areas:

• Mental Health Services - Including rapid access services through behavioral health clinics
• Substance Use, Addiction, and Prevention Programs - Comprehensive addiction treatment and prevention services
• Children & Youth Services - Specialized programs for young people and families
• Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Services - Support services for individuals with IDD
• Housing Services - Housing assistance and support programs
• Adults 60 and Above Services - Senior services through their Area Agency on Aging designation
• Transportation Services - Community transportation programs
• Veterans Services - Specialized support for military veterans
• Case Management Services - Coordinated care and service navigation

Crisis and Emergency Services:

The organization provides 24/7 crisis services for mental health and substance use emergencies. They also offer rapid access services through specialized behavioral health clinics in Culpeper and Fauquier.

Community Services Navigator:

Encompass Community Supports offers a Community Services Navigator program to help individuals find information, access services, and receive referrals to appropriate support resources when they're unsure where to start.

Unique Organizational Structure:

Established in 1972, this organization is unique as it combines both a Community Services Board (CSB) and an Area Agency on Aging (AAA) - the only such combined agency in Virginia. This dual designation allows them to provide services under both the Federal Older Americans Act and Virginia Code 37.1.
