Emergency Aid — Mineral (RuraLove, Goshen Baptist Association)

The Goshen Baptist Association’s RuraLove program in Mineral provides short-term emergency financial assistance to residents of Louisa County. The program helps with past-due utility and heating fuel bills as well as rental and mortgage needs when funds are available. Assistance is distributed through the Goshen Ministry Center / RuraLove operations at 587 Mica Road in Mineral, and callers should contact the ministry for intake and eligibility screening.

Services are administered via an application and intake process handled by the Goshen staff; applicants are asked to call and complete the application over the phone with a receptionist. Typical emergency supports include:

• Payment assistance for electric, gas, water, and heating fuel
• Rent payment assistance
• Limited mortgage assistance when funds allow

The program serves Louisa County residents and coordinates with local emergency funds and partners to determine eligibility and level of support.
