CCHASM serves as a community connector for crisis support across Central Virginia, partnering with trusted churches and agencies to link individuals and families to essential resources. Mission: Connecting communities to hope, access, support, and meals.

Core Services

Food Assistance Program operates through collaboration with 15 regional pantry partners to distribute nonperishable groceries and essential items to individuals and families experiencing crisis situations.

Utility Assistance Program provides emergency support for households at risk of losing power, water, or heat. The organization assists eligible families with applications for emergency utility relief through local service providers.

Home Delivery Service utilizes a partnership with DoorDash to deliver groceries directly to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and others who cannot physically access pantry locations.

Seasonal Programs

Thanksgiving Program has become a long-standing annual tradition that provides meal bags and grocery gift cards to help thousands of families celebrate Thanksgiving in their homes, offering comfort and support during the holiday season.
