Call BlackLine—Crisis Call Line

Mission: Call BlackLine provides a dedicated space for peer support, counseling, and reporting of mistreatment, specifically tailored for individuals most impacted by systemic oppression, with a focus on LGBTQ+ Black Femme experiences. The organization prioritizes BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities and operates on an inclusivity, affirmation, and support basis. Call BlackLine aims to help individuals facing abuse, mistreatment, or discrimination by offering a non-judgmental, affirming listening ear and information gathering about personal experiences. It serves a broad demographic that includes Black, LatinX, AAPI, Indigenous, Muslim, and LGBTQ+ individuals, and those with differing mental or physical abilities. Service areas are accessible via a toll-free crisis line and mobile app, available in Apple’s App Store and Google Play. The organization has answered thousands of calls, including reports related to hate, police brutality, jail and prison advocacy, and other forms of systemic violence and discrimination. Callers can report incidents involving police misconduct or vigilante behavior, and receive support and guidance. The organization also makes referrals to other services as needed. Its primary mode of service is through immediate crisis intervention and witness support, fostering community safety and empowerment.
