About This Service
Mission:
The Daily Planet Outreach Sites aim to provide accessible healthcare and supportive services to underserved populations through a network of outreach locations and mobile units in the Greater Richmond area.
Services Provided:
- Health Screenings & Assessments: Initial health evaluations to determine medical needs.
- Physicals & Medications: On-site physical examinations and medication provision.
- Counseling: Access to mental health and substance use counseling.
- Connection to Integrated Health System: Referrals and connections to additional services within The Daily Planet’s integrated health network.
- Mobile Healthcare: Two mobile units deliver care throughout the Greater Richmond region, increasing accessibility for those unable to visit fixed sites.

- The Healing Place (700 Dinwiddie Avenue, Richmond, VA 23224)
- CARITAS (2220 Stockton Street, Richmond, VA 23224)
Who They Serve:
- Community members in need of healthcare, including those experiencing homelessness or lacking regular access to medical care.
- Individuals who may benefit from health screenings, counseling, and connections to further services.
Eligibility & Access:
- General eligibility applies; individuals are encouraged to contact the organization for specific requirements.
- After an initial assessment at an outreach site, individuals are encouraged to visit The Daily Planet for follow-up care.
