Meadowbridge Fridge (RVA Community Fridges)

Meadowbridge Fridge is a community-operated food resource that is part of the RVA Community Fridges network. This location provides free access to fresh produce, pantry items, and general fridge materials for anyone in need, with a focus on reducing food insecurity and food waste. The fridge and pantry are open to all, with no eligibility requirements or proof of need required, making it accessible to residents from Louisa County and surrounding areas.

Donation Guidelines

• All donations must be labeled with all ingredients, date of packaging/expiration, and any potential allergens (such as dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat/gluten, soy, tree nuts).
• Fresh produce, pantry items, and general fridge materials are welcomed.
• Prepared meals must follow strict guidelines: label with allergens, wear gloves and mask when preparing, and include the date cooked/packaged. Homemade meals are expected to expire 3–4 days from packaging.

Not Allowed

• Raw meat or raw fish
• Alcohol
• Unlabeled prepared meals
• Expired or moldy foods
• Opened packages or partially eaten food

Pantry-Specific Guidelines

• Only homemade non-perishables/dry foods are accepted in the pantry.
• Items needing refrigeration should not be left in the pantry.
