Mission: To enhance the well-being of children and families in Charles City County through prevention activities and support services.

Services:

• Prevention activities aimed at improving community health

Program Details:

The MDT was formed in January 2022 as a collaborative effort guided by the County Administrator. It unites representatives from diverse county departments, community partners, and organizations to identify and bridge service needs for children, families, and individuals. The team works to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive, emphasizing prevention and support services to foster positive community change. Their goals include sharing information about programs that address Social Determinants of Health in alignment with the county’s VISION 2040 strategic plan. They also focus on supporting initiatives that increase safety and well-being, embracing the eight dimensions of wellness as defined by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. The MDT aims to secure partnerships across these dimensions and coordinate initiatives, events, and resources county-wide to promote holistic wellness and community resilience.

Open to residents, visitors, and community organizations involved in or benefiting from prevention and wellness initiatives.

Charles City County, VA, and surrounding communities.
