Mission:
The National Autism Association (NAA) is dedicated to responding to the most urgent needs of the autism community, with a strong focus on safety, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

• NAA’s Big Red Safety Box®: Provides essential safety tools and information for families to help prevent wandering and other safety risks.

Who They Serve

NAA serves individuals with autism, their families, caregivers, educators, and first responders across the United States, including residents of Louisa County, VA and surrounding regions. Many resources are available online or by mail, making them accessible regardless of location.

NAA provides a comprehensive suite of downloadable resources, toolkits, and educational materials to support the autism community. The organization also offers guidance on legal and guardianship issues, and maintains a registry for autism swim programs. NAA’s mission is supported by donations, sponsorships, and partnerships, and the organization is governed by a board of directors.
