TED-Ed

Mission:
TED-Ed is the youth and education initiative of TED, dedicated to sparking and celebrating the ideas of teachers and students worldwide. The organization aims to support learning through a variety of innovative educational resources and programs.

Services and Programs:

• Animated Video Lessons: TED-Ed produces a growing library of original, award-winning animated videos that cover a wide range of subjects and are designed to spark curiosity in learners of all ages.

Educators and youth leaders can apply to facilitate these programs, which run in 12-month cycles and are open to a variety of educational environments, including homeschool and extracurricular groups.
• Educator Talks: Educators are supported in developing and delivering their own TED-style presentations to share insights and experiences with the broader community.

Who They Serve:

• Teachers, students (ages 6-18), and educational organizations globally, including those in Louisa County, VA and surrounding regions.
• The Student Talks program is specifically designed for educators working with students in K-12 settings, including non-traditional educators such as librarians, curriculum coordinators, and youth organization leaders.

Eligibility:

• Student Talks program applicants must be educators aged 21 or older and not working with university-level students.
• Each educator or leader must submit a separate application to access program resources.
