MATHCOUNTS Foundation

Mission:
MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing enthusiasm for and achievement in mathematics among U.S. middle school students. The organization aims to provide engaging math programs and resources that foster problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a love for mathematics.

Programs and Services:

• Competition Series:
• A nationwide middle school mathematics competition program that includes school, chapter, state, and national levels. Students participate as individuals and as part of teams, with opportunities to advance through various rounds.
• Local program information and rules are available to guide participants and coaches.
• The National Math Club:
• A club program designed to engage students in fun, collaborative math activities. Clubs can register and access resources to help students build math skills in a non-competitive environment.
• Resources and guides are provided for club leaders.
• Resources for Educators:
• Offers a wide range of materials, including handbooks, practice plans, problem sets, and video libraries to support math instruction and enrichment.
• Includes the MATHCOUNTS Trainer, MATHCOUNTS Minis, and access to past competitions for practice.
• Online Problem Library and Extraction Tool (OPLET):
• Provides educators and students with access to a comprehensive database of math problems for additional practice and learning.

Eligibility and Participation:

• Programs are open to all U.S. middle schools and their students, including public, private, and home schools.
• Registration is required for participation in the Competition Series and National Math Club.
