Mission:
Open Path Psychotherapy Collective is a nonprofit nationwide network of mental health professionals dedicated to providing in-office and online mental health care at a steeply reduced rate to clients in need. The organization envisions a just, compassionate world where all people can easily access the care they need to thrive.

Services Provided:

  • Affordable Psychotherapy: Access to individual counseling sessions with licensed therapists at sliding scale rates ranging from $30 to $70 per session, significantly lower than standard market rates.
  • Online and In-Person Therapy: Therapy is available both in-office and online, making services accessible to clients regardless of location, including residents of Louisa County and surrounding areas.
  • Wellness Education Courses: Free access to a library of 19 online wellness courses covering topics such as anger management, communication skills, relationships, and parenting.
  • Mental Health Video Library: Complimentary access to a collection of mental health videos from therapists on topics like beginning therapy, trauma, and grief.
  • Member Benefits: Discounts from partner companies offering resources for personal wellness.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Open Path serves clients in financial need who are seeking affordable therapy.
  • Eligible clients are uninsured or underinsured, with an annual household income below $100,000.
  • Underinsured is defined as having health insurance that does not include affordable in-network mental health benefits (e.g., high deductibles or copays above $70 per session for individual therapy or $80 for couples/family therapy).
  • Individuals who can afford full-fee psychotherapy are asked not to use Open Path’s services.

Membership Details:

  • A one-time lifetime membership fee of $65 is required to access services; there are no recurring fees.
  • Membership enables clients to see any therapist in the Open Path network at the advertised rates for as long as they need low-fee therapy.
