Mission:
The Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Action Alliance is a statewide coalition dedicated to ending sexual and domestic violence in Virginia. The organization believes that all individuals have the right to live free from sexual and domestic violence and works to inspire values of equality, respect, and shared power throughout the Commonwealth.

Services and Programs:

• 24/7 Statewide Hotline: Provides immediate crisis intervention, support, and information for survivors of sexual and domestic violence. The hotline is accessible by phone, text, and online chat, ensuring multiple avenues for confidential assistance.
• Legal Services: Offers resources and guidance for survivors navigating the legal system, including information on protective orders and legal rights.
• Resources for Survivors, Friends, and Family: Supplies educational materials, referrals, and support to those directly or indirectly impacted by sexual and domestic violence.
• Support for Professionals and Caregivers: Delivers specialized resources and training for professionals and caregivers working with survivors.
• Prevention Initiatives: Implements statewide prevention programs focused on building consent communities, fostering youth development, forging peaceful families, and promoting healthy campuses.
• Training and Technical Assistance: Provides training opportunities, technical assistance, and retreats for advocates, service providers, and community members to build skills in prevention and response.
• Policy Advocacy: Engages in policy work to advance justice, promote survivor-centered legislation, and address systemic inequities related to sexual and domestic violence.
• Community Engagement: Supports local agencies, including Sexual Assault Crisis Centers and Domestic Violence Programs, and prioritizes the voices and interests of survivors in all coalition activities.
