LAMB's Basket

Mission:
LAMB's Basket is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity by providing food assistance to residents in need, primarily serving Henrico County, VA. The organization was established in 2002 as a collaborative effort among local churches to address growing community needs for food support.

Services Provided:

• Food Pantry: Offers food distribution to individuals and families in need. Clients may be referred by area churches, organizations such as Feedmore and Catholic Charities, or Henrico County Social Services. Walk-ins are also welcome.
• Volunteer Opportunities: The pantry is entirely volunteer-run, with roles including stocking shelves, food pick-up, computer operations, cleaning, refrigeration maintenance, assisting clients, and sorting produce and baked goods. High school and college students can fulfill service hour requirements and receive documentation of their service.
• Community Partnerships: Supported by donations from local churches, individuals, and businesses, as well as food donations from retailers like Costco, Aldi’s, Panera Bread, Lidl, Publix, and Kroger.

Eligibility:
- Primarily serves Henrico County residents, but walk-ins are welcome, and referrals from partner organizations are accepted.

Note:
- The organization operates under the supervision of a Board of Directors and is funded solely through donations and grants. All contributions are tax deductible.
