Moments of Hope Outreach

Mission: Moments of Hope Outreach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in the Greater Richmond area, including Caroline, Hanover, Henrico, King William counties, and the city of Richmond. Residents of Louisa County and surrounding regions may access many of these services.

Services Provided:

• Emergency Shelter: Brief motel stays for those experiencing sudden homelessness or at risk during dangerous weather. The annual "Room in the Inn" program provides shelter and meals during Christmas.
• Mo Hope Pantry: Distributes enough groceries for nine meals per household weekly, serving 350-500+ neighbors. Also supports 19 area food ministries and pantries with surplus food.
• Mobile Pantry & Saturday Servings: Weekly outreach events offering warm meals, groceries, health screenings, a bike shop, clothing ministry, fellowship, and prayer at multiple locations.
• Resource Center: Offers assistance with benefit applications (Medicaid, SNAP, SSDI, SSI), emergency food, hygiene items, documentation (IDs, birth certificates), and referrals for housing, legal, and transportation needs.

• Saturday Servings: The Light Community Church (601 Azalea Ave, Richmond) and Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church (2300 Dumbarton Rd, Richmond)

The organization partners with Feed More and other local agencies to maximize its impact. Services are open to those in need, including Louisa County residents willing to travel to these locations.
