love is respect is a national resource dedicated to empowering youth ages 13 to 26 with information, support, and advocacy regarding healthy relationships and dating abuse. As a project of the National Domestic Violence Hotline, this organization offers 24/7 free and confidential services via phone, text, and live chat to:
- Young people with questions or concerns about their romantic relationships
- Concerned friends, family members, teachers, counselors, and other service providers
Services Provided
- 24/7 crisis support and advocacy for dating abuse and unhealthy relationships
- Education and prevention resources including quizzes, interactive tools, and testimonials
- Training, toolkits, and curriculum for educators, peers, and parents
- Specialized services for Deaf individuals and Native American youth
- Personal safety planning for home, school, and online environments
love is respect aims to be a safe, inclusive space for youth to access help and information, promoting healthy relationships and preventing future abuse. All services are available nationwide, including to residents of Louisa County, VA.
