Overview

Virginia Family Services is an accredited Substance Use and Behavioral Health Treatment Center serving adults, adolescents, and children with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. With multiple locations throughout Central Virginia, the organization increases access to essential behavioral health services for a wide range of communities.

Services Offered

• Addiction Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS):
• Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP): Group sessions focused on relapse prevention, understanding addictive behaviors, and risk management.
• Partial Hospitalization: Structured day programs as alternatives or step-downs from inpatient care.
• Substance Use Case Management: Assistance in accessing medical, psychiatric, social, educational, and recovery supports.
• After Care Group: Ongoing support for individuals and families in recovery.
• Substance Use Peer Support: Community-based, peer-led support to foster independence and self-advocacy.
• Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP): Court-mandated assessments and classes for DUI/DWI convictions.
• Mental Health Services: Comprehensive needs assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and strength-based multidimensional assessments for individuals with mental health needs.
