About This Service
Mission: To ensure that Virginians of all ages and abilities can acquire the appropriate, affordable assistive and information technologies and services they need to participate in society as active citizens.

- Assistive Technology (AT) Device Demonstration and Loan Program
- AT Device Exchange and Reuse Program
- Information and Assistance on assistive technology products, funding options, and resources
VATS provides a comprehensive range of services aimed at increasing awareness, accessibility, and acquisition of assistive technology for individuals with disabilities. The organization offers hands-on demonstrations, short-term equipment loans, and a platform for exchanging or donating gently used assistive devices. It also contracts with other providers to facilitate durable medical equipment reuse for those with limited resources. Guided by an advisory council, VATS serves residents of Virginia, including those in Louisa County, by helping them access vital assistive technologies and related services.
