History & Impact: Established in 1974, Meals on Wheels of Lynchburg has delivered over 3 million meals, supported by approximately 650 volunteers, serving residents regardless of age or income, especially those with disabilities or in need of companionship. The organization operates independently, funded through community donations, and emphasizes reducing social isolation while promoting health and independence.
