About This Service
Mission: To provide high-quality immigration legal services to low-income immigrants, asylees, and refugees in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Services:
- Assistance with visas for victims of domestic violence and violent crimes
- Help with protections like Temporary Protective Status (TPS) and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- Family reunification support
- Immigration legal consultations and representation
- Education on immigration law and legal rights
Community Engagement:
- Building community among clients, staff, volunteers, and the larger society
- Education and advocacy efforts to promote awareness and mutual understanding
Just Neighbors relies on volunteers for client communication, translation, document preparation, outreach, and more. They aim to foster an inclusive, anti-racist environment and work on traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Piscataway and Nacotchtank peoples.
