About This Service

Virginia Community Action Partnership (VACAP) is a statewide organization that coordinates a network of Community Action Agencies working together to overcome poverty and build self-sufficiency, strong families, and communities throughout Virginia.

Programs and Initiatives:

  • Virginia CASH Campaign/EITC - Provides free tax preparation services to eligible community members through volunteer partnerships
  • Two-Generation/Whole Family Pilot Project - An innovative approach that addresses the needs of both children and adults within family units to reduce reliance on public assistance and alleviate generational poverty
  • Digital Opportunity Initiative - Assessing the digital divide across nine regions through stakeholder engagement and developing regional plans to address community needs

VACAP serves as a hub for multiple Community Action Agencies across Virginia, including those serving Louisa County residents, connecting them with resources to help build economic opportunities and create lasting positive impact.
