About This Service
Cover Virginia is the public-facing program of the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) that helps Virginians access affordable health coverage through Medicaid and other state-sponsored healthcare programs.
Services:
- FAMIS - Health insurance for children
- Medicaid - Coverage for eligible adults, children, pregnant individuals, elderly, blind, and disabled persons
- Long-Term Services & Supports - Care for those requiring nursing supervision and assistance with daily activities
- Plan First - Family planning services
- Premium Assistance Programs - Help paying for health insurance
Cover Virginia serves residents throughout the Commonwealth, including Louisa County, by providing application assistance, eligibility determination, and ongoing support for members. Their mission is "to improve the health and wellbeing of Virginians through access to high-quality health care coverage."
Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Closed Sundays and state holidays
