About This Service
Mission: ICNA Relief's Hunger Prevention Program aims to combat food insecurity and hunger across the United States, including Virginia and Louisa County residents.
Services:
- Food Pantries & Distribution Centers: Free, nutritious food and hot meals for individuals and families in need.
- Special Feeding Programs: Ramadan Food Boxes, Iftar Distribution, Udhiya/Qurbani meat distribution, and Mercy On Wheels mobile food delivery.
- Soup Kitchens & Mobile Food Trucks: Regular meal services for vulnerable populations.
- Food Rescue: Collaboration with local businesses, farms, and grocery stores to redistribute surplus food.
- Support for Diverse Populations: Services are available to single mothers, senior citizens, refugee families, the homeless, and others facing hardship.
ICNA Relief works with national and local partners, including the USDA and food banks, to expand halal food options and ensure equitable access to healthy food. The organization welcomes volunteers and donations to support its mission. Louisa County residents are eligible for assistance through ICNA Relief's Virginia programs.
