About Loisann’s Hope House

Loisann’s Hope House is the Fredericksburg region’s oldest and largest family homeless shelter, serving families from the surrounding counties, including Louisa County. The organization is recognized as a leader in providing comprehensive services to families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Core Programs & Services:

• Emergency Shelter: Provides families with safe shelter and intensive case management, focusing on permanent solutions such as housing, employment, transportation, and childcare. Services are accessible regardless of sobriety, income, or background.
• Rapid Rehousing: Assists families in quickly exiting homelessness through housing search, short-term financial assistance (rent, moving costs), and case management.
• Homelessness Helpline: A 24/7 coordinated intake and assessment service for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, streamlining access to the region’s housing crisis response system.
• FredPrevent – Prevention: Prevents homelessness by connecting at-risk households to community supports and providing financial assistance for rent, utilities, and deposits when needed.
• Kiwall HOPE Fund: Supports housing, opportunity, prevention, and equity initiatives for families in need.
