Cville Village

Mission: Cville Village is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to supporting older adults as they age in place, helping them maintain independence and quality of life in their own homes and communities.

Services Provided:

• Transportation: Rides to medical appointments, shopping, social events, and errands.
• Household Chores: Assistance with light housekeeping, changing lightbulbs, replacing smoke detector batteries, simple repairs, and occasional meal preparation.
• Technology Help: Support with computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices.
• Social Assistance: Friendly visits, check-in phone calls, walks, games, reading aloud, respite visits for caregivers, and short-term emergency support during recuperation.
• Yard Chores: Light yard work and pet care.

Cville Village does not provide medical or personal care (such as bathing, eating, or medication management). Services are delivered by trained volunteers, and the organization is flexible in accommodating additional needs as possible. While initially focused on Charlottesville and nearby areas, Cville Village is expanding its service boundaries and encourages those outside the current area (including Louisa County) to reach out about starting or joining a Village in their community.
