About This Service

Mission: The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) is dedicated to supporting individuals with behavioral health and developmental disabilities across the Commonwealth, including Louisa County residents.

State Rental Assistance Program (SRAP)

SRAP provides rental assistance to eligible individuals with developmental disabilities who are on the DD Waiver waiting list, enabling them to live independently in the community rather than in institutional settings.

- Rental subsidies for eligible individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assistance with finding and maintaining safe, affordable housing
- Collaboration with local Community Services Boards (CSBs) and housing partners
