Computers with Causes

Mission: Computers with Causes, operated by the Giving Center (501c3), is dedicated to providing refurbished computers and technology to individuals and organizations in need across the United States, including Louisa County, VA residents.

Who They Serve:

• Low-income families
• Schools and educational programs
• Children in foster homes
• Nonprofits
• The elderly
• Disabled veterans

Services:

• Refurbished Computer Distribution: Donates refurbished desktops, laptops, and tablets to eligible applicants.
• Zero-Waste Recycling: Ensures all donated electronics are reused or recycled responsibly.
• Data Security: All donated devices are wiped to Department of Defense standards before redistribution.
• Tax Deductible Donations: Donors receive tax receipts for their contributions.

Applicants in need of a computer can apply online. The organization conducts need assessments and background checks to ensure resources reach those truly in need.
