The Avis Beasley Community Outreach Group is dedicated to fostering a unified and supportive community in Orange County, VA and surrounding areas, including Louisa County. Inspired by the legacy of Avis Beasley, a local leader and veteran, the organization seeks to establish a community recreation center that offers high-quality recreational and educational opportunities for residents of all ages, with a special emphasis on youth.

Services & Programs

• Community Events: Hosts annual events such as the Turkey Giveaway (providing free turkeys to families in need) and School Supply Drives (distributing essential supplies to local children).
• Educational Support: Offers resources for college preparation, including scholarship information, financial aid guidance, and essay writing resources.
• Emotional & Mental Support: Strives to provide programs and facilities that support the emotional and mental well-being of community members.
• Volunteer Opportunities: Engages the community through volunteer-driven initiatives and events.
