Cape Ivy

Mission: Cape Ivy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing warmth, comfort, and support to children with chronic or critical illnesses and their families.

Services:

• Donates IV-friendly fleece ponchos to children in hospitals, addressing the unique needs of those with IV lines and other medical equipment where traditional robes, sweaters, and jackets are not suitable.
• Acts as a resource for families experiencing long-term hospitalization of children, offering comfort items that help ease the hospital experience.
• Works closely with hospital Child Life teams to distribute ponchos to children in need.

Cape Ivy is managed and operated entirely by volunteers, with the support of a dedicated Board of Directors. The organization is committed to supporting families during challenging times and honors the memory of Gavin, the founder's son, through its mission. Families and hospital staff can request ponchos directly through the organization.
