About This Service
Mission: Aging Together is dedicated to improving the quality of life for older adults and their caregivers in the region. They work to address key issues facing seniors such as limited access to transportation, food insecurity, barriers to obtaining prescription medications, gaps in dementia care services, shortages in caregiving support, and social isolation.
Services:
- Homecare Companion Program: A hands-on pilot designed to provide in-home care facilitated by Rapp at Home, a rural neighbor-to-neighbor program.
- Meal Delivery Program: A program for isolated seniors modeled after FISH programs for children.
- Regional Resource Guide for Older Adults: A comprehensive guide tailored to older adults and their caregivers, including a Spanish language section.
- Generations Central Adult Day: A collaborative effort providing adult day services.
- Project Lifesaver: A program for the Warrenton Sheriff's Department.
- Future Projects: Behavioral Health Screening tool for older adults and Creative Interventions for Caregiver Training with George Mason University.
Aging Together collaborates with various organizations to provide these services and improve the lives of older adults in the region.
