Provisions Thrift Store Ministry

Mission: Provisions Thrift Store Ministry is a faith-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates thrift stores to serve the local community and provide assistance to struggling families. The organization is guided by Hebrews 13:16: "Do not forget to do good and to SHARE with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."

Services Offered:

Thrift Store Operations

The organization operates two "Sharing Centers" that function as thrift stores, providing an organized environment where families can shop for household essentials, clothing, furniture, and other necessities at affordable prices. The stores create a welcoming atmosphere that aims to lead others to peace while serving basic daily living needs.

Children's Clothing Ministry

Families can receive one basket of free clothing monthly for children, along with a free pair of shoes and coat if needed. No application is required, but proof of identity may be requested. Families simply check in with the cashier at either location to receive these blessings.

Voucher Program

Available through referral or on a case-by-case basis, this program provides household items, clothing, and furniture to those in critical need situations, including those finding housing after homelessness, leaving domestic violence situations, or experiencing financial emergencies.

Blessing's Closet

Provides hygiene supplies, cleaning supplies, and diapers to families in need. Available at the Fredericksburg location on Tuesdays during normal business hours. Families can access this service once per month by requesting a Blessing Closet Voucher from staff members.

Community Service Opportunities

Accepts individuals needing to complete court-ordered community service hours, providing all necessary documentation for court systems and connecting participants with additional resources for their specific situations.

Pick-Up Services

Offers donation pick-up services limited to church events, community events, move-outs for the elderly, or approved special requests. Pick-ups are available on Tuesdays and Saturdays during business hours, subject to volunteer and truck availability.

Volunteer and Donation Opportunities: The organization welcomes donations and volunteers, emphasizing that donations help create blessings for the local community. They accept financial donations and physical item donations to support their various assistance programs.
