About This Service

Piedmont Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Piedmont CASA is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children involved in court proceedings within its service area, including Louisa County. They recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers who are appointed by judges as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). These volunteers investigate the child's situation, report findings to the court, ensure the child's needs are heard, and advocate for a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.
