ACE Louisa

Mission: ACE Louisa operates under the motto "Opening Doors Through Education" and focuses on providing comprehensive adult education services to Louisa County residents.

Programs and Services:

• GED Preparation - Complete preparation for all four GED test subjects including Reasoning through Language Arts (150 minutes), Mathematical Reasoning (70 minutes), Science (90 minutes), and Social Studies (70 minutes)
• Basic Literacy - Fundamental reading and writing skills instruction for adults
• ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) - English language learning programs for non-native speakers
• Family Mentoring - Support services for families to enhance educational outcomes
• Blended Learning - Combination of traditional and technology-based learning approaches

GED Testing Information:

The organization provides GED testing services in Louisa County with computer-based exams. The GED test costs $120 total ($30 per subject) with retests available for $10 per test for the first two attempts. Students must achieve a score of 145 or better on each module and can take subjects individually based on testing center availability.

Student Support:

ACE Louisa offers career planning resources including personality assessments, career exploration tools, and employability skills development. Students complete a registration process that includes goal setting and career planning appointments.
