Mission: The Fluvanna-Louisa Housing Foundation serves residents of both Fluvanna and Louisa counties by providing comprehensive housing assistance and support services to help individuals and families achieve safe, affordable housing.

Services Offered:

• Essential Home Repair - Critical repairs to maintain safe and habitable housing conditions
• Access Ramps - Construction and installation of accessibility ramps for individuals with mobility challenges
• Home Construction - New home construction projects for qualifying families
• Rental Units - Affordable rental housing options within the community
• Financial Education - Educational programs to help residents develop financial literacy and homeownership skills

Organizational Structure:

The Foundation operates with a dedicated staff including an Executive Director, Accounts Receivable & Loans Manager, coordinators for both Fluvanna and Louisa counties, and an Operations Manager. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors that includes community leaders, county supervisors, banking professionals, and local business representatives.

Volunteer Opportunities:

The Foundation actively works with individual volunteers and volunteer groups to build and install ramps and perform home repairs. They welcome volunteers with various skill levels, from building professionals and those handy with tools to community members simply looking to give back to the Louisa and Fluvanna communities. All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application and Confidentiality Agreement to protect participant privacy and organizational information.

The Foundation specifically serves residents of both Fluvanna County and Louisa County, Virginia, with dedicated coordinators for each county to ensure comprehensive coverage and local expertise.
